The Director of Student Affairs addresses the non-academic and certain co-curricular needs of the law school students and maintains an open-door policy to further these ends. Under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Administration and Student Development, the Director is responsible for managing student-facing policies, crisis management, and addressing student conduct violations. The Director provides daily task supervision/direction to the department’s fulltime administrative assistant and supervises one student worker during the academic year and one summer temporary worker. The University is a Christian religious-affiliated organization; and as such, is not subject to religious discrimination requirements. The University’s hiring practices and EEO discrimination practices are in full compliance with both federal and state law. Federal law creates an exception to the “religion” component of the employment discrimination laws for religious organizations (including educational institutions), and permits them to give employment practice preference to members of their own religious beliefs.
