About The Position

The New IEM LLC in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Director of Strategy to lead enterprise-level strategic planning and execution initiatives that drive long-term growth, value creation, and competitive advantage for IEM. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this role partners closely with executive leadership to develop, evaluate, and implement corporate, business unit, and growth strategies across the organization. The Director of Strategy has direct supervisory responsibility over a team of strategy consultants and associates and oversees complex, cross-functional initiatives with significant business impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics or any related field of study.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in any related position(s) through which the required skills were gained.
  • Demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with analyzing financial, operational, and market data to develop actionable strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with supervising, mentoring, and developing junior professional staff.
  • Demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with presenting complex analyses to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with developing Financial Models to drive executive decision making.
  • Demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with performing and negotiating with large contract value vendors.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of corporate and business-unit strategy, including long-term strategic planning, growth initiatives, and operational improvement programs.
  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor to the Chief of Staff, CEO, and executive leadership team on matters related to corporate strategy, market positioning, and enterprise performance.
  • Direct comprehensive market, industry, and competitive analyses to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, risks, and strategic implications for the business.
  • Lead inorganic growth initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships, encompassing target identification, diligence coordination, valuation analysis, and integration planning.
  • Oversee enterprise performance management by defining key performance indicators, reviewing financial and operational data, and recommending strategies to improve efficiency, profitability, and scalability.
  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives involving finance, operations, sales, engineering, and external advisors to ensure effective execution and alignment with corporate priorities.
