About The Position

The Director of Strategic Growth & Partnerships plays a crucial role in driving revenue generation and fostering strategic relationships for the organization. This position involves analyzing marketplace performance, developing and adjusting sales strategies, and managing a variety of revenue streams. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments, cultivation of external partnerships, and oversight of marketplace operations. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for CRM data analysis, staff coaching, budget management, and presenting financial forecasts to executive leadership and the Board of Directors. The week concludes with reviewing progress, identifying opportunities for growth, and representing the organization externally to enhance its visibility and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, nonprofit management, healthcare administration, or a related field.
  • 7 to 10 years of progressive experience in business development, e-commerce, or revenue generation.
  • Track record of leading teams to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Hands-on experience managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and overseeing P&L performance.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and contract management skills.
  • Skilled at managing e-commerce platforms.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to build, negotiate, and steward strategic institutional partnerships across corporate, academic, foundation, and industry sectors.
  • Comfortable managing B2B sales channels and funnels.
  • Confident presenting revenue forecasts and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Marketplace analytics, sales performance, and revenue dashboards.
  • Adjust forecasting, pricing, and lead generation strategies.
  • Align revenue-generating initiatives with organizational priorities and member value through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Cultivate new sponsorships and negotiate terms with prospective corporate partners.
  • Steward existing relationships toward renewal.
  • Manage operational aspects of the business, including fulfillment, inventory management, vendor relationships, and contract administration for Marketplace and B2B sales.
  • Analyze CRM data and customer insights to improve acquisition, retention, and lifetime value.
  • Coach Marketplace staff, clear roadblocks, and reinforce goals.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and margin management for the non-dues revenue portfolio.
  • Prepare revenue forecasts and business performance updates for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Represent the organization at external events or industry conversations.
  • Review wins and open threads, identifying opportunities for growth and staff development.
