About The Position

This role is responsible for managing the Sourcing and Procurement function to ensure company goals and objectives are met. This includes overseeing raw material requisitions, purchase orders, standard pricing, cost savings initiatives, contract negotiation, and vendor relations. The position requires staying informed about economic conditions affecting the supply base, identifying and qualifying alternate suppliers, and leading sourcing strategies for specific materials like TORGINOL® quartz and pigments. Collaboration with internal teams (Operations, Quality, Product) is crucial to ensure sourced components meet technical, color, and packaging requirements. The role also involves procuring various inputs for TORGINOL® Polymer Flake™ and supporting Flake production by ensuring material availability. Additionally, it includes managing raw material consignments and resolving issues related to rejected materials.

Requirements

Manage the Sourcing and Procurement function
Ensure company goals and objectives are met
Review/Ensure all raw material requisitions align with production requirements and inventory targets
Convert raw material requisitions into Purchase Orders and place them
Set annual raw material standard prices for the business plan
Develop and report on cost savings initiatives
Negotiate and maintain raw material contracts/agreements, including consignment agreements
Work with A/P and Vendors to identify and resolve payable issues
Keep constantly abreast of economic or business situations as they affect our raw material supply base
Notify Management of short supply situations or negative effects on key commodities
Meet with raw material suppliers as needed to ensure changes in pricing or supply situations are understood
Identify and develop alternate sources of supply and qualify same using the Vendor qualification process
Lead sourcing strategy for TORGINOL® quartz materials
Maintain qualified supply sources for quartz and resin-related inputs
Partner with Operations, Quality, and Product teams
Procure goods and raw material inputs required to manufacture TORGINOL® Polymer Flake™
Support Flake production by ensuring materials are available
Monitor, maintain, and report raw material consignments monthly to respective suppliers
Resolve issues dealing with rejected raw materials

Responsibilities

Review/Ensure all raw material requisitions align with production requirements and inventory targets.
Convert raw material requisitions into Purchase Orders and place them.

Lead sourcing strategy for TORGINOL® quartz materials, including uniformly shaped and graded quartz granules, and high-quality colorfast pigments used in Quartz™ flooring products.
Maintain qualified supply sources for quartz and resin-related inputs to support durability, chemical resistance, UV stability, slip resistance, custom blend availability, and production continuity.
Partner with Operations, Quality, and Product teams to ensure sourced resin quartz components meet TORGINOL® technical, color, packaging, and customer-specific blend requirements.
Procure goods and raw material inputs required to manufacture TORGINOL® Polymer Flake™, including water-based resin materials, organic minerals, additives, pigments, and related production supplies.
Support Flake production by ensuring materials are available for standardized sizing, custom blending, color matching, resin-system compatibility, packaging, and labeling options.
Monitor, maintain, and report raw material consignments monthly to respective suppliers.
Resolve issues dealing with rejected raw materials; ensure credit or cost-free replacement is issued if the vendor is at fault.
