About The Position

The Director of Softball Operations plays a key role in supporting the program’s success by ensuring seamless operations and an elite student-athlete experience. Reporting to the Head Softball Coach, the Director of Softball Operations is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the NCAA Division I Softball program. This role ensures the program operates efficiently, professionally, and in full compliance with NCAA, Conference, and University regulations. The position plays a critical role in supporting competitive success by enabling coaches to focus on athlete development, recruiting strategy, and leadership. This position is based on campus at the University of Washington and requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively with the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in collegiate or professional athletics, or as a former student-athlete
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work with technology and video systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and professional writing skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel extensively
  • Experience coordinating logistics, events, or operations in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with video production, graphic design, or digital content creation
  • Experience with NCAA compliance and recruiting processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational systems
