About The Position

The Director of Security, Safety, and Risk Management is responsible for the overall security and safety of the properties, guests, and Team Members. The Director will work alongside local law enforcement from time-to-time and must be willing and capable of fostering a positive relationship with outside agencies and Comanche Nation Law Enforcement. The Director will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal, and Tribal laws, policies, and procedures. In addition to security, the Director will be responsible for ensuring all properties are always assessing the environment for any risk issues and working with leadership to mitigate and resolve all such issues immediately. The Director will be responsible to ensure proper and timely training for all security staff and provide all necessary training related to safety and security of the Team Members to the staff on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalency to include Home School Certificate.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in law enforcement including at least 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must have a stable employment history.
  • Must be able to report for duty as scheduled.
  • Must be able of passing all applicable background checks necessary for all licensing.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree from an accredited 2- or 4-year school with a degree in the Law Enforcement field or related area is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the mission statement, and objectives of Comanche Nation Entertainment as well as established policies, procedures and controls.
  • Proactively seeking any safety or risk issues on the properties and is proactive to find solutions to minimize, reduce, and eliminate all associated risk and safety issues.
  • Provide leadership and direction for health and safety programs, ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements, and reduce claim frequency and severity.
  • Partner with Human Resources and company/property leaders to analyze risk trends, justify prevention programs, and support hazard elimination through mitigation efforts.
  • Responsible for disciplining, performance appraisals and addressing employee issues.
  • Handles problems or grievances (employees/guests) as soon as the need arises within the Security department.
  • Capable of making critical decisions.
  • Must follow prescribed chain of command.
  • Responsible for the adherence and maintenance of applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Assures compliance with Tribal, State, and Federal Internal Controls requirements by constant review and update of Internal Controls.
  • Prepares and submits annual budget to CNE leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • May oversee all properties to include MID and SMALL.
  • Supervises personnel in their day-to-day activities and is responsible for scheduling, training, and evaluating Security staff.
