Feeser’s Food Distributors is seeking a strategic, inspiring, and results-driven Director of Sales to lead a high-performing team, strengthen customer partnerships, and drive expansion across diverse market segments. Since 1901, Feeser’s, Inc. has been a trusted, family-owned foodservice distributor serving the Mid-Atlantic with a vast portfolio of dry, refrigerated, and frozen products, supporting restaurants, healthcare systems, schools, and institutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior sales leadership role (required)
  • 8–10 years of experience in a sales organization (required)
  • Extensive experience with sales technology tools, including: Online ordering platforms, CRM systems, Advanced Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, AI tools such as Copilot or similar
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a sales team
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with Purchasing, Finance, Operations, and Marketing
  • Deep experience managing major accounts and building long-term relationships
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and attention to detail
  • High integrity and transparency — trusted across all levels of the organization
  • Strong multi-level account penetration skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and strategic problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate a compelling short- and long-term vision for the sales organization.
  • Ensure all sales initiatives align with company goals and market trends.
  • Identify and cultivate new strategic partnerships and revenue channels.
  • Lead development of the annual sales budget, forecasting, and investment planning.
  • Define and communicate clear, measurable objectives for all sales roles.
  • Build and execute outbound and inbound prospecting strategies.
  • Lead change management for new technologies, processes, and initiatives.
  • Represent Feeser’s at industry events, conferences, and thought-leadership opportunities.
  • Drive innovative sales strategies across existing and emerging channels.
  • Advance Inside Sales capabilities, technology adoption, and customer growth.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with sales staff to evaluate performance vs. budget and KPIs.
  • Implement structured consequence management and improvement plans.
  • Present monthly leadership updates on sales metrics, trends, and strategic insights.
  • Build strong partnerships with key customers through business reviews and competitive analysis.
  • Identify market trends using data analytics and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Oversee beverage department initiatives, new products, and account opportunities.
  • Ensure CRM adoption and maintain an accurate, actionable sales pipeline.
  • Partner with Marketing to promote key vendor and private-label products.
  • Collaborate with Operations to support new customer onboarding and cost-efficient service.
  • Work closely with Finance on analytics, reporting, and margin optimization.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing on cost management, product onboarding, and demand forecasting.
  • Coach and mentor sales leaders and individual contributors.
  • Lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and development of sales talent.
  • Collaborate with Strategic and Regional Sales Managers on tools, techniques, and performance drivers.
  • Oversee development and implementation of training programs for new employees.
