About The Position

AmeriTech Contracting is seeking an experienced and driven Director of Sales to lead the growth of our private-sector construction business. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and expanding AmeriTech’s presence within the private-sector market throughout New England and nationally.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of business development/sales experience in construction, commercial real estate, development or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated history of personally generating new business.
  • Established network of private-sector construction decisionmakers.
  • Experience selling or developing opportunities involving commercial construction.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with senior-level clients.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline from lead identification through contract award.
  • Willingness to travel throughout New England and nationally as needed.
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing relationships with commercial owners/developers.
  • Experience with federal construction plus private-sector construction.
  • Experience with design-build or negotiated work.
  • CRM experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, marketing or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute private-sector business development strategies.
  • Identify new commercial construction opportunities throughout New England and nationally.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, brokers and other construction industry decisionmakers.
  • Develop a pipeline of qualified private-sector opportunities.
  • Identify projects during the early planning/design phase, rather than waiting until they are advertised for bid.
  • Represent AmeriTech at industry events, networking organizations and client meetings.
  • Conduct introductory meetings and presentations with prospective clients.
  • Develop capture strategies for major opportunities.
  • Coordinate with estimating, operations, project management and executive leadership.
  • Assist in proposal development and pursuit strategy.
  • Track opportunities, relationships and pipeline activity in CRM.
  • Monitor private-sector construction market trends.
  • Develop long-term client relationships and repeat business.
  • Pursue opportunities throughout New England while identifying strategic national opportunities.
  • Meet established revenue/pipeline goals.
