About The Position

Gray Media is seeking a Director of Sales for WRDW/WAGT, a growing multimedia company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The company is the nation's largest owner of top-rated local television stations and digital assets. WRDW/WAGT is located in Augusta, Georgia, known as the "Garden City" and a growing tech and medical hub. The station itself is state-of-the-art and considered one of the best in the company. The Director of Sales will be a hands-on sales leader responsible for building teams, growing revenue, and leading with urgency and empathy. This role involves recruiting, training, and motivating a high-performing team while driving sustainable growth across broadcast, digital, and emerging platforms. The position requires ownership of the full revenue picture, including local direct, new business, and multi-platform solutions, with a focus on client results and ROI. The role also emphasizes bringing structure, organization, and clarity to sales systems and processes, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and kind culture while maintaining high standards and a drive to win.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of local media sales experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in sales leadership or management.
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning and revenue growth.
• Experience selling across broadcast and digital platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all local sales strategy across broadcast, digital, and emerging platforms.
• Recruit, coach, and develop a motivated, high-performing sales team.
• Drive new local direct business and uncover growth opportunities.
• Own all aspects of advertising revenue with a focus on client ROI and long-term growth.
