The Director of Sales is responsible for the development and oversight of all hotel sales and marketing activities with the goal of increasing market share, revenue and RevPAR performance and to meet or exceed hotel budget through concentrated proactive sales efforts in the market. This role involves achieving revenue goals by implementing effective sales and marketing strategies, preparing the annual Sales & Marketing budget, making outside sales calls, performing market analysis, contacting and qualifying new sales leads, analyzing reports, networking with community leaders, utilizing Brand support and initiatives, developing and implementing advertising, public relations, and promotional programs, identifying and selling to key accounts, maintaining knowledge of the local hotel market and competitors, identifying and soliciting new accounts, marketing opportunities on the property's website and electronic distribution channels, leading all hotel sales and marketing activities, and ensuring sales information is communicated to all departments.
