About The Position

Gray Media is seeking an "in-the-trenches" Director of Sales to lead the KFVS sales team, driving revenue growth across broadcast and digital platforms. This role requires a strategic leader who excels at coaching media executives to deliver high-impact, multi-platform solutions for local clients. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives on the energy of sales, fosters an innovative sales culture, has a digital-first mindset, and is passionate about talent development.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in an LMS, DSM, or GSM role with at least two years of sales leadership.
  • Track record of sustained revenue growth across broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Strategic thinking abilities with an understanding of the media industry's direction.
  • Digital fluency and ability to articulate the value of digital platforms to clients.
  • Strong communication skills for one-on-one coaching and group presentations.
  • Effective negotiation skills with the ability to overcome objections and close deals.
  • Operational discipline with attention to detail, especially with numbers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Media or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Previous Sales Manager experience.
  • Knowledge of Wide Orbit and Matrix is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure client goals are met and station strategy is effective.
  • Recruit top-tier talent to join the sales team.
  • Lead a high-energy sales culture, own the revenue, coach for growth, connect with clients, and drive strategy.
