About The Position

Responsible for leading the Sales Department to achieve revenue goals and maximize profitability for Hotel Viata and the PHG Collection. Provides strategic direction, coaching, and leadership to the sales team while developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies aligned with market conditions and business objectives. Oversees forecasting, budgeting, account development, and team performance to ensure consistent achievement of individual and team goals. Builds strong relationships across market segments to drive transient, group, and catering revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Sales Department, ensuring alignment with property goals, brand standards, and revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to identify new business opportunities and grow market share across corporate, group, leisure, and catering segments.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage sales team members including hiring, training, performance management, and development.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns to develop effective sales strategies and revenue initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners, and community organizations to support long-term business growth.
  • Participate in networking events, trade shows, community activities, and industry organizations to promote the property and generate business.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and revenue plans while monitoring performance to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Utilize sales systems and reporting tools to evaluate performance, track production, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Support team sales efforts including client meetings, site visits, presentations, and negotiations as needed.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marketing, Operations, and Executive leadership to align strategies and maximize profitability.
  • Ensure exceptional guest and client satisfaction by working cross-functionally to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Lead regular sales meetings, business reviews, and training sessions to support team success and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Create a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous development within the Sales Department.
