About The Position

Join us for an exciting new hotel opening in early summer: Hotel Longmont in Longmont, Colorado! This is a unique opportunity to be part of the pre-opening team, build the operational foundation, and play a key role in bringing the guest experience to life. Hotel Longmont is a boutique lifestyle hotel currently under development in downtown Longmont, Colorado, designed to serve both business and leisure travelers with a modern, locally inspired experience. The property will feature 84 guest rooms and suites, complemented by a rooftop bar and restaurant, as well as approximately 2,600 square feet of flexible meeting and event space—positioning it as a key hospitality anchor in the city’s growing downtown district.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales experience required
  • Strong understanding of hotel revenue drivers, segmentation, and commercial strategy
  • Knowledge of travel industry trends, local market dynamics, and economic factors
  • Proven ability to prospect, negotiate, and close new business
  • Demonstrated success in developing and delivering sales presentations and proposals
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions quickly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
  • Proficiency in hotel systems, including CRM, PMS, and revenue management tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and execution of the Annual Sales & Marketing Plan aligned with revenue goals and market opportunities
  • Drive total hotel revenue through strategic management of group, transient, and catering/event segments
  • Develop and implement sales strategies that increase awareness, demand, and market share
  • Partner with the General Manager on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Analyze competitive data, demand trends, and market conditions to inform pricing and business mix strategies
  • Direct and manage all sales activities to ensure achievement of revenue targets and performance goals
  • Prepare and deliver monthly forecasts, reports, and performance insights
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, accounts, and community partners
  • Represent the hotel in the local market through networking, events, and industry engagement
  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure seamless execution of group and event business
  • Maintain accurate data and reporting within CRM, PMS, and revenue systems
  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, fostering accountability and performance
  • Maintain a visible presence within the hotel to support team members and client relationships
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs
