Summary: We are seeking a results-driven and client-focused Director of Sales to join our Voith Paper Team in the Pulp and Paper industry. As Sales Director, North Region for P&S, your primary role is to implement and execute the North American strategy to optimize sales growth and further develop customer relationships. You will lead and support a team of Regional Sales Managers as well as ensuring close cooperation with other functional teams, including inside sales, engineering, and service.

Requirements

  • Proven experience and success as a sales manager or director of sales
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 7-10+ years of progressive sales experience, including leadership roles, preferably in the pulp and paper industry
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong experience with sales forecasting, CRM systems, and data-driven decision making.
  • Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Responsibilities

  • Champion safety in all aspects of our business.
  • Deliver on key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the region; orders, sales, profitability, lead generation, Win Rate, NPS by account and sales costs.
  • Develop and own the sales strategy to support Voith’s long-term strategic plan.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the customer-facing sales team in order to support the execution of sales strategy, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, enhancing Voith’s brand, and building a high performing sales organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
  • This role is responsible for forecasting, pipeline management, and team development while collaborating closely with operations, corporate accounts, other Voith group divisions and executive leadership.
  • Responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining talented employees.
  • Promote employee engagement through clear, open communication, linking performance to sales strategy and company vision.
  • Build a culture within the group that is aligned with Voith values and is commitment to differentiating Voith in the market place through selling and positioning value.
  • Collect and report on all competitor and market activity.
  • Collaborate with team members, other internal groups, and customers to develop value add solutions in a timely manner.
  • Provide support or lead commercial negotiations that are of strategic importance to the organization.
