The Director of Sales will be responsible for strategically soliciting and developing new accounts and successfully promoting the property. The Director of Sales is responsible for generating top line revenue and the management of all aspects of the Sales Department. This role requires focusing on the achievement of hotel financial goals/budget targets, ensuring compliance with all daily operational procedures by the Sales department, and maintaining complete knowledge of hotel policies and procedures. The Director of Sales will also be responsible for understanding current customers and accounts, determining and implementing new business or market segments to pursue, establishing special packages or programs to boost occupancy during slow periods, and creating advertising to support these programs. Additionally, the role involves attending trade shows and civic events, ensuring communication with the General Manager and other department managers, managing employee performance, and maintaining the Sales Department's annual budget. Other duties as assigned.
