The Director of Sales is responsible for bringing purpose and a plan of action for customer accounts. The role will manage a team of Sales professionals that sell products for various manufacturers or distributors to business establishments. This position works closely with and builds strong relationships with customers, partners, and cross functional teams. As a member of the sales leadership team, the incumbent is expected to manage their book of business and make effective decisions that support sustainable growth. Develop self and others – assign and accept challenging assignments to expand professional knowledge and capabilities of self and others. Embody personal leadership qualities that are in line with our cultural 10 Principles to drive behavior and language that promotes respect and accountability. Ensure Sales team makes consistent sales calls on assigned accounts. Reviews performance of the Sales team as it relates to overall sales goals. Survey new potential account and existing account on a regular basis. Develop strong customer and vendor relationships. Ability to partner and work cross functional with internal support teams. Analyze changes in the market conditions as they apply to territory. Develop broad product knowledge to assist customer with product application. Develop annual budget and manage overall department P&L. Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
