About The Position

IMAX Enhanced is extending The IMAX Experience beyond traditional theatrical programming into live streaming and home entertainment. Managed by IMAX’s Streaming and Consumer Technology team, the program combines IMAX’s globally recognized brand and proprietary technology to deliver premium live streaming experiences to audiences at home and, where applicable, in connected IMAX theatres. We work with leading content owners, distributors, streaming platforms, sponsors, and brand partners seeking to differentiate their offerings through premium live experiences and the power of the IMAX brand. By combining IMAX Enhanced picture and sound quality with one of the world's most recognized entertainment brands, our partners can drive stronger audience engagement and preference while creating monetization opportunities through sponsorship, premium subscription offerings, and advertising. The Role We’re seeking a Director of Sales for North America to lead the growth of our IMAX Enhanced for Live propositions in the region. This is a high-impact, front-line commercial role for a driven, strategic salesperson who thrives in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments. You will shape IMAX Enhanced's market presence across North America by forging partnerships with distributors (content holders and large captive-audience live-event platforms) and partners (streamers and content industry partners) to sell multi-event-based licence engagements in which IMAX handles real-time video and audio quality optimisation and grants the IMAX Brand licence usage rights. In addition, engaging with sponsors is key, as they enable financing of IMAX Enhanced distributor deals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior sales experience in selling partnerships to content distributors and partners, as well as sponsors
  • A relationship-driven dealmaker with a proven, active Rolodex across sports and live distributors, content partners and sponsors
  • Experienced in selling complex value-driven partnership propositions
  • Hands-on self-starter with a start-up mentality — entrepreneurial, resourceful, and hands-on
  • Proven success managing end-to-end sales cycles (from sourcing and qualification to negotiation and closing)
  • Strong commercial acumen and forecasting discipline

Responsibilities

  • Deliver annual revenue targets by executing the IMAX Enhanced sales operating plan by developing a qualified opportunity pipeline and focusing on deal conversion
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, prospecting, developing, and closing deals with distributors and partners
  • Enabling IMAX Enhanced distributors’ deals by identifying, prospecting, developing, and closing deals with top-tier sponsors/brands (directly or in partnership with distributors and partners
  • Engage senior decision-makers (C-level executives and senior business leaders) to present the value of IMAX Enhanced for Live partnership
  • Initiate ROI modelling to provide deal justification in close collaboration with prospects
  • Lead complex deal cycles from prospecting to closure, using a structured sales methodology framework (e.g. MEDDPICC to navigate commercial deals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with program, product, customer success, and legal teams to align solutions and deliver world-class partnerships
  • Build a qualified $12.5 - $15M+ sales pipeline with 1 year
  • Deliver 8–10 high-value deals annually, generating $2.5–3M ARR (average ARR deal size $250K+)
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management, driving excellence in deal execution
