About The Position

The Margaritaville Hotel San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is seeking a results-driven and passionate sales professional to join their team as the Director of Sales. This role will be at the forefront of the hotel's success, driving sales initiatives, capturing new business opportunities, and maximizing market presence. The ideal candidate will have high energy, enthusiasm, and a strategic mindset, thriving in a fast-paced, competitive environment with a proven track record in hotel sales.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field or equivalent experience
Proven experience in hotel sales or a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
Track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
Strategic mindset and ability to analyze market data and trends
Proficiency in sales software and CRM systems
Flexibility to travel and work irregular hours as needed

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
Build and maintain relationships with clients, travel agencies, and corporate partners
Identify new business opportunities and market trends
Lead a sales team, providing guidance and support
Collaborate with other departments to optimize guest experiences and drive sales
Conduct sales presentations and negotiations with potential clients
Manage budgets, forecasting, and financial performance of the sales department
Stay updated on industry trends and competitors to stay ahead of the market
