About The Position

The Director of Sales role is dynamic and focused on driving the team to meet sales and closing plans, developing effective sales strategies, recruiting, developing, and mentoring top talent. The role involves leading and engaging the sales team, ensuring they are well-coached and motivated to achieve their goals. Responsibilities include managing Neighborhood Sales Managers, conducting regular sales meetings, and collaborating with Marketing, Design, and Purchasing teams to optimize product and pricing offerings. The Director of Sales will focus on achieving sales and settlement plans by ensuring accurate sales contracts and resolving any issues promptly. Key priorities include neighborhood maintenance, velocity, and profitability, requiring gap analyses, adjustments to pricing and incentives, and monitoring model home and community upkeep. The role balances office work with frequent field visits to ensure the seamless execution of sales strategies and the overall success of the division's sales efforts.

Requirements

  • History of meeting or exceeding divisional sales goals
  • Ability to provide goal clarity and drive energy throughout the team and division
  • Organized and capable of staying on top of market conditions to communicate opportunities and risks
  • Constantly growing the skills and results of their sales team
  • Experience managing a successful sales team in the homebuilding industry
  • Ability to develop sales skills through role plays and observing customer interactions
  • Excited to collaborate in a team environment with a track record of working successfully across different departments
  • Exudes active listening and respect when communicating with others
  • A college degree or commensurate experience

Responsibilities
