Stevans is a Canadian supplier serving long-term care, retirement, healthcare, and commercial environments across Canada for 30+ years. Our customers represent over 1000+ communities coast to coast from Vancouver, BC to St. John’s, NL. We provide furniture, window coverings, fabrics, and interior solutions that support comfort, safety, and durability in senior living spaces. Our team manages every step of the process from product selection to quoting, procurement, and installation support as a true one-stop shop solution. You will join a small, rapidly expanding team that obsesses over delivering exceptional service and support that our customers can count on. As a growing organization, priorities can evolve quickly. Success in this role requires someone who enjoys building structure, creating clarity, and keeping multiple initiatives moving forward in a fast-paced environment. As the business continues to grow, we are seeking a strategic, relationship-focused sales leader to help build upon our strong reputation, strengthen existing client partnerships, and drive future growth. This newly created leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of a growing business. Working closely with the ownership team and founder, you will transition key client relationships, drive growth initiatives, build scalable sales processes, and expand Stevans’ presence across Canada’s long-term care and retirement sectors. The role is based in Brantford, ON and involves regular travel across Canada to meet clients, attend industry events, and support business development activities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of business development, sales, account management, or sales leadership experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% – 40% of the time within Ontario (semi-annually National).
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, successfully balancing multiple concurrent client projects, strategic initiatives, and competing priorities while bringing structure, organization, and accountability.
  • Proven ability to develop and grow strategic client relationships while managing complex B2B sales cycles.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with demonstrated ability to work independently in a growth-oriented environment.
  • Experience using CRM systems and pipeline management tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Existing relationships within Canada’s senior care sector and experience in one or more of the following sectors would be considered a significant asset: Long-term care, retirement living, senior housing, or healthcare; Commercial interiors, contract furniture, architectural products, or construction-related sales.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing long-term care and retirement home clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to key customer stakeholders.
  • Ensure Stevans remains front-of-mind for new construction, renovation, expansion, and replacement projects.
  • Identify opportunities to increase share of wallet within existing accounts.
  • Coordinate client follow-up activities and account planning.
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy focused on the senior living sector.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Canada.
  • Build relationships with: Long-term care operators, Retirement home operators, Architects, Designers, Procurement leaders, Corporate head office decision-makers.
  • Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Represent Stevans at industry events and conferences.
  • Establish CRM discipline, pipeline management, and sales reporting processes.
  • Develop scalable sales tools, account planning frameworks, and best practices.
  • Analyze market trends and sales performance to identify growth opportunities and improve efficiency.
  • Help build the foundation for a repeatable and scalable sales function.
  • Partner with ownership on sales strategy and organizational growth.
  • Support the future recruitment, onboarding, and development of business development team members.
  • Share knowledge, best practices, and market insights across the organization.
