Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans against a defined hotel budget to maximize revenues through direct sales, marketing, e-commerce channels, public relations and community partnerships. This role focuses on developing a strong e-commerce presence, managing internet market and social media opportunities, and working in partnership with the Director of Revenue Management to develop and implement sales strategies. The position involves identifying customer business requirements, crafting offers to increase revenue share, monitoring sales team objectives, and achieving annual hotel revenue goals. Maintaining relationships with key accounts, using professional sales techniques for negotiation, and articulating hotel benefits to close sales are crucial. A key responsibility is preparing and maintaining a current annual marketing plan with measurable initiatives. Leadership is expected through modeling proper selling techniques, developing others, and committing to industry and personal development. This includes conducting interviews, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting associates, as well as traveling locally for outside sales calls and competitive analysis.
