About The Position

The Director of Risk Management will provide leadership and oversight for the organization’s risk management program. This role involves identifying, evaluating, and mitigating clinical, operational, and regulatory risks. The Director will review adverse events, incidents, claims, and patient-safety concerns, leading root-cause analyses and supporting corrective action planning. Collaboration with nursing, medical staff, quality, compliance, legal, and executive leadership is essential. The position also includes developing and maintaining risk management policies, procedures, and reporting processes.

Requirements

• Current New Mexico RN license or active multistate RN license
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing
• Strong knowledge of healthcare risk management, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification preferred at time of hire
• CPHRM certification must be obtained within 3 years of employment
