About The Position

We are seeking a strategic, driven, and people-focused leader to serve as the Director of our Central Virginia Business Unit. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, work acquisition, operational performance, and team development within the division. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who can inspire project teams, drive profitability, strengthen customer relationships, and uphold a culture built on integrity, professionalism, and excellence. This position plays a key role in shaping the future growth and success of the division while ensuring exceptional relationships with our customers and meaningful opportunities for employees.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of mechanical construction experience
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical system costs and budgeting practices
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong teams and develop employees
  • Strong understanding of project profitability, forecasting, and operational metrics

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate the project management team by creating vision, accountability, and opportunity
  • Establish annual division goals and monitor progress toward achieving them
  • Drive project profitability through oversight of forecasting, billings, change order management, and project performance
  • Review operational and financial reports to ensure division success
  • Maintain and strengthen customer, supplier, and subcontractor relationships
  • Support and oversee pre-construction, estimating, and proposal efforts
  • Develop and mentor Project Managers through evaluations, coaching, and targeted training
  • Monitor staffing needs and participate in hiring decisions for the division
  • Foster and maintain the Warwick Mechanical Group culture across the team
  • Ensure ethical leadership and professionalism in all business operations
