About The Position

Luminary Hospice is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle to own the full revenue cycle for its growing, multi-state, multi-site hospice organization, from eligibility verification through final account resolution. This leader is accountable for ensuring the organization is paid accurately, compliantly, and on time. The role manages a third-party revenue cycle management (RCM) billing vendor, partners with local agencies to promote consistent best practices, and builds an operation that can scale as the organization adds locations, states, and payers. It is a hands-on position requiring detailed knowledge of hospice reimbursement and the ability to investigate individual accounts and identify root causes. The Director sets revenue cycle strategy, policies, staffing, and goals; manages performance and risk reporting to executive leadership; and oversees revenue cycle operations, vendor performance, local agency partnership, systems, processes, and team development. The role works with Finance on month-end close, reserves, cash forecasting, and Cap liability, while maintaining compliance with Hospice Conditions of Participation, CMS/MAC and state Medicaid rules, HIPAA, and internal policies. The position reports to the Vice President of Finance. Nashville, Tennessee is preferred, or the candidate may be located in market; the role is remote with light travel. Luminary Hospice describes itself as a mission-driven organization focused on compassionate, personalized end-of-life care that preserves dignity and supports patients, families, and caregivers.
