About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle to lead our financial strategy and operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial health of our organization by optimizing billing processes, managing denial trends, and maintaining high net collection ratios. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of revenue cycle management, preferably with experience in EMS/ambulance billing or a related healthcare setting. You will be responsible for setting financial strategy, leading process improvements, building and developing a high-performing team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing vendor and payer relationships. This is a hybrid role with flexibility, offering direct reporting to the CFO and a significant impact on our life-saving mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration, or Business
  • 5–7+ years of revenue cycle leadership experience, ideally in an EMS setting
  • A track record of leading large teams (30+)
  • A track record of driving measurable revenue improvements

Nice To Haves

  • EMS/ambulance billing veteran who knows ALS/BLS levels, PCR documentation, and CMS ambulance reimbursement
  • Hospital, physician group, or allied-health revenue cycle leader with some EMS exposure
  • Experience billing for an ambulance client
  • Experience working alongside an EMS service line
  • Started career in the field before moving into the business side of healthcare

Responsibilities

  • Set the financial strategy and pricing structure that keeps EHP thriving
  • Lead process improvements across intake, coding, claims, and payment posting
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of 35+ (Billing Supervisors, Revenue Analyst, and staff)
  • Serve as the final word on HIPAA, OIG, and CMS compliance
  • Manage vendor and payer relationships and champion new technology/automation
  • Be a trusted partner to Operations, HR, Legal, and IT
