About The Position

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, salaried position. Flexibility in your schedule is needed for this position based on the needs of the programs. Emergency situations may require nights and weekends. Queens locations to oversee. This is a great opportunity for a Director of Residential Services seeking the next step in their career in Human Services.

Requirements

BA degree in Human Services or related field required.
Two years experience in residential management with an additional two years in ID/DD program services.
Excellent communication skills
Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

Train, coach, mentor & supervise management team
Assume QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional) responsibilities in the absence of a QIDP
Actively participate on agency committees and projects
Ensure all program services are consistent with regulatory standards
Coordinate services in the areas of clinical, personnel and programming
Drive agency vans and demonstrate safe driving practices; participate in agency driver safety course
Act as an advocate for the individuals and ensure for protective oversight
Assist in the preparation and implementation of residential budgets, including monitoring of budgets and residential accounts
Participate in the intake process of individuals being referred for placement
Oversee electronic systems to enhance the department’s efficiencies and ability to measure outcomes
Have 24/7 on call accessibility
Required to become a certified trained investigator to assist in completing investigations as assigned by the Quality Assurance Department. This is a condition of employment.
Required to become either a certified trainer in CPR/1 st Aide or Strategies for Crisis Intervention & Prevention and teach 2 classes a year to assist the Training Department and assist with training clusters as needed/requested.
