About The Position

The Director of Resident Engagement is responsible for creating and implementing a vibrant activity program for residents. This role involves assessing resident needs, planning and executing a variety of activities and outings, managing budgets, and fostering a positive community environment. The position also plays a role in marketing efforts through resident events and requires strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

Ability to complete Personal Well-Being Profiles and orient residents.
Skill in scheduling and managing activities with minimal changes.
Ability to arrange entertainment within budgetary constraints.
Proficiency in promoting programs to increase resident participation.
Adherence to spending budgets for activity supplies and entertainment.
Experience in organizing events, including planning, advertising, set-up, and clean-up.
Capability to schedule and organize resident outings and transportation.
Strong teamwork and initiative.
Positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.

Responsibilities

Complete Personal Well-Being Profiles for new residents within 7 days of move-in to determine program participation.
Orient all residents to the community activity program and how to access activities.
Follow the activity schedule with minimal changes or cancellations.
Arrange entertainment within budgetary allotments for resident enjoyment.
Promote all community programs to improve resident participation.
Comply with spending budgets for activity supplies and entertainment.
Participate in and organize quarterly marketing/resident events, including planning, advertising, set-up, and clean-up.
Schedule and organize resident outings, including sightseeing, destination trips, and medical trips.
Organize transportation for activity outings and medical visits with the assisted living community.
Foster teamwork, show initiative, assist co-workers, and have a positive impact on residents and visitors.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
