About The Position

Lindsay Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to lead our therapy department! As Director of Rehabilitation, you will oversee the daily operations of our rehabilitation department while promoting clinical excellence, teamwork, and an exceptional resident experience. Requirements

  • Current California license in good standing as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Graduate of an accredited program in the applicable therapy discipline.
  • Strong understanding of therapy operations, clinical documentation, and reimbursement processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to motivate a team, build relationships, and manage competing priorities.
  • A commitment to compassionate care and meaningful resident outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous rehabilitation leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Skilled nursing or long-term care rehabilitation experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology services.
  • Recruit, mentor, train, and support rehabilitation staff while promoting a positive, collaborative department culture.
  • Coordinate staffing, schedules, and caseloads to support timely, clinically appropriate services.
  • Monitor resident progress, therapy outcomes, and individualized treatment plans.
  • Ensure clinical documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted promptly.
  • Collaborate with nursing, physicians, social services, and other departments on care planning and discharge needs.
  • Manage department resources, budgets, and operational goals while keeping resident needs at the center of decision-making.
  • Promote compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and applicable requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, care conferences, and facility meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding rehabilitation goals and progress.
  • Provide direct patient care within your licensed discipline as needed.
  • Create an environment where therapists feel supported, residents feel encouraged, and accomplishments are celebrated.
