About The Position

Plans, directs, and administers the work of Rehabilitation Services. These services can include Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Outpatient Wound and Hyperbaric Therapy.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
5 years clinical experience
Kansas license as a PT, OT, Speech Therapist, PTA, or COTA.
Current BLS/CPR card from approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first.
Extensive knowledge in the field of Rehab. Services, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and documentation.
Knowledge and commitment to the team approach to rehabilitation.
Effective leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities.
Ability to contribute to building a positive team spirit, both within the department and the organization.
Provide vision and inspiration to peers and subordinates.
Light Work: Occasionally exerting up to 25 lbs - frequently exerting up to 10 lbs. 11-25% of the day may be standing or walking.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in PT, OT, Speech Therapy OR a Masters in Health Sciences Administration.
4-10 years of experience.
American Heart Association BLS.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with medical and professional staff of other departments to plan/coordinate joint patient and management objectives.
Ensure optimal allocation of staff to workload ratios, to meet budgetary goals/objectives.
Ensure operational costs are within organizational goals.
Prepare departmental budget.
Coordinate departmental projects.
Ensure departmental compliance with organizational, departmental specific policies/procedures, safety and health standards, and state/federal regulations.
Display visionary leadership skills.
Serve a population newborn through geriatric.
Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.
Perform other duties as assigned.
