About The Position

Prava Therapy is seeking a Vietnamese-speaking Physical Therapist to establish and lead an embedded therapy program within a vibrant adult day community, focusing on Vietnamese older adults. This role is unique, requiring the individual to build the program from its foundation rather than managing an existing department. The position emphasizes proactive intervention by identifying early signs of declining mobility and functional changes. The Director will provide skilled physical therapy, foster relationships within the community, collaborate with families and caregivers, and promote a holistic approach that integrates prevention, wellness, and ongoing strategies for sustained quality of life. The goal is to empower senior adults to maintain their independence and engagement with the world.

Requirements

  • Vietnamese-speaking Physical Therapist
  • Ability to build and lead a new therapy program
  • Understanding of early intervention for mobility decline
  • Skilled in providing physical therapy
  • Ability to build relationships with community members and families
  • Experience in prevention, wellness, and ongoing strategies for quality of life
  • Proficiency in addressing mobility, balance, strength, endurance, pain, fall risk, and neurological conditions

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the physical therapy program from the ground up
  • Maintain an active clinical caseload and model exceptional clinical practice
  • Address mobility, balance, strength, endurance, pain, fall risk, and neurological conditions
  • Identify functional changes early and create proactive pathways for intervention
  • Build meaningful relationships with participants and their families
  • Educate caregivers and families on mobility, safety, and maintaining independence
  • Develop fall-prevention, mobility, and wellness programming
  • Collaborate with the adult day team so therapy supports what is happening in everyday life
  • Mentor and develop clinicians as the program grows
  • Use outcomes and clinical data to continually strengthen the program
