About The Position
Powerback is a leader in physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies, dedicated to helping older adults stay active and thrive. With over four decades of service, Powerback extends its reach across skilled nursing centers, assisted and independent living facilities, outpatient clinics, and home-based care, providing personalized care where and when it's needed most. The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) will lead a team of compassionate clinicians in a 119-bed SNF with a 93% occupancy rate, offering a diverse caseload of short and long-term care patients recovering from illnesses, injuries, and hospital stays, with many residents returning home. The facility features a spacious gym with an outdoor courtyard to support versatile, real-world mobility training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a rehabilitation discipline (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology) required.
- Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in the state of practice.
- Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third party billing required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions and problem solve appropriately.
- Thorough knowledge of all state practice acts.
- Ability to positively interact with personnel, patients, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must have a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT or COTA) or a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) license.

- Oversee all rehab services in the facility.
- Support the team by providing direct patient care.
- Ensure the highest standards of rehabilitation services.
- Support, grow, and mentor the clinical team.
- Design, implement, and execute programs to restore, reinforce, and enhance patient abilities.
- Address patient needs.
- Manage and motivate staff effectively.
