About The Position

The Director of Quality provides strategic leadership and oversight of Carolina Container's quality management systems, product quality standards, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures the consistent production of high-quality corrugated packaging products that meet or exceed customer expectations while driving operational excellence throughout the organization.

Excellent financial and budget management skills.
7-10 years of progressive quality leadership experience in manufacturing.
5+ years of people management experience.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

Nice To Haves

ASQ certification preferred.
Six Sigma certification preferred.
ISO 9001 experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
Manufacturing experience in the corrugated industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all workings are manufactured in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements.
Contribute towards the achievement of company’s strategic and operational objectives.
Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning process as appropriate.
Develop and maintain company-wide quality systems and standards.
Establish quality KPIs and reporting mechanisms.
Lead quality assurance, audits, compliance, and corrective action programs.
Partner with operations to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns and audits.
Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Recruit, develop, and manage quality personnel.
