About The Position

The Director of Quality is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s quality management strategy and ensuring that products, services, and operational processes consistently meet internal standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role provides strategic leadership for the Quality function while partnering closely with Operations, Clinical/Technical teams, Compliance, Engineering, and other departments to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, mitigate risk, and establish a culture of quality throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on quality leader who can build effective processes, analyze performance data, lead cross-functional initiatives, and hold teams accountable to established quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Healthcare Administration, Business, Engineering, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in quality, quality assurance, compliance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems.
  • Experience with audits, regulatory compliance, corrective actions, and root-cause analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and risk-management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable improvements.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Quality function across product development, manufacturing, suppliers, and field operations.
  • Develop and maintain quality systems, processes, and standards for autonomous drone and robotics products.
  • Establish quality metrics and drive continuous improvement across engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
  • Lead root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), nonconformance management, and product quality investigations.
  • Develop and manage supplier quality programs, including supplier qualification, audits, and ongoing performance.
  • Ensure products and processes meet applicable regulatory, customer, contractual, and internal quality requirements.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to identify risks and improve product reliability and performance.
  • Lead internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of quality findings.
  • Build and develop the Quality team while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
