About The Position

A healthcare facility located about an hour north of Richmond, VA, is seeking a full-time Director of Quality and Risk to join their team. This role ensures the facility meets all federal, state, and corporate regulatory standards while leading accreditation readiness efforts, compliance efforts, and staff education efforts. The Director will update and maintain facility plans, oversee risk management activities such as the completion of incident reports, notice of potential claims, corrective action planning, and incident reporting to the Corporate Risk Manager. This role partners with department leaders to enhance patient care, resolve concerns, manage risk-related activities, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and employee recognition.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field is highly preferred
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Risk Management, Quality Management, Patient Safety, and/or Performance Improvement within a healthcare setting
Must have experience with State, Joint Commission, and/or CARF surveys
Hands-on facility-level leadership experience working directly with staff, patients, and department leaders is required
