About The Position

This position oversees all aspects of the Public Transportation and Senior Services programs, ensuring compliance with various federal, state, and local regulations. The Director is responsible for managing staff, operations, financial aspects, reporting, grant management, and business development. A key focus is on maintaining high standards of customer service and program growth.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older
  • Graduated from high school or have an equivalent GED degree
  • 2 years of driving experience
  • Valid driver's license and insurance
  • Clean driving record
  • Physically able to attend to wheelchair clients

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all centers, kitchens, vehicles and employees are in compliance with FTA, AAA, ODOT, Health Departments and the ILCAO at all times.
  • Provide management training in all compliance areas.
  • Oversee all hiring, training, and evaluations of staff.
  • Oversee all daily operations of staff.
  • Responsible for all FTA, AAA, ODOT, LCPA, and ILCAO reporting and grant management.
  • Apply for all grants and contracted services.
  • Responsible for all revenues and expenses incurred by the programs.
  • Make business decisions based on revenues and expenses.
  • Responsible for all Centers, Kitchens, Buses and Van operations each day.
  • Responsible for all program assets such as buses, vans, centers, kitchens, etc.
  • Must be educated in ALL 23 areas of compliance required by FTA. This includes passing the triennial audit held every 3 years.
  • Responsible for all bids required by FTA, AAA, and ODOT. And to manage these contracts.
  • Must be able to manage all grants, annual NTD, Drug and Alcohol, ODOT and FTA reporting.
  • Update and incorporate all policy and procedures as required by FTA, AAA and ODOT. These have to be updated for both the LCPA and the ILCAO.
  • Responsible for reporting to LCPA and ILCAO Boards and Senior Management.
  • Responsible for all personnel and HR functions as required by ILCAO.
  • Responsible for all staff payroll, invoices, receivables, donations, etc.
  • Provide emphasis on customer service and relationships with our clients and funding sources. This may entail training for all staff.
  • Always looking for new opportunities to grow the programs and services to be provided.
  • Ensure all staff has all certifications and sites have all licenses as required by the Health Departments, AAA, FTA, and ODOT in order to operate. These are ServeSafe, Driver Training, Defense Driving, CPR, Health and Fire Department licenses.
  • Provide all marketing for the programs (maintain website, schedules, and brochures).
  • Work with TTA, KYOVA, and all other transit agencies on related projects and adoption of new services.
  • Maintain the Transit Center as a place to be used for the public and a center of downtown activities. Required to have public meetings when services changes are to be made.
  • Oversee the Transit Cafe operations in conjunction with the Transit Center.
  • Perform all other activities deemed necessary and appropriate by the Assistant Executive Director for Planning & Development.
