About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing public engagement, membership programs, and the overall visitor experience. The Director will develop and implement strategies to connect with diverse audiences, build community partnerships, and enhance the institution's reach and impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Museum Studies, Public Relations, Community Development).
• Fluency in both English and Spanish, with excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public engagement, community outreach, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Bronx and diverse communities, their cultures, needs, and educational landscape.
• Creative thinking and ability to develop innovative strategies to engage diverse audiences.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Google/Micro Office Suite and familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
