About The Position

The Director of Proprietary & MTO is responsible for leading Circle K’s proprietary Menu-to-Order (MTO) food platforms across North America. This role owns the strategy, development, execution standards, and performance optimization of Circle K-owned MTO concepts to ensure they are differentiated, guest-relevant, and operationally executable at scale. This position partners closely with Culinary Innovation, Category Management, Operations, Training, Supply Chain, Technology, and Quality Assurance to deliver best-in-class MTO programs that drive traffic, attachment, and profitability while maintaining consistent execution and food safety standards. Also, any additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in foodservice, QSR, proprietary brands, or MTO operations
  • Strong understanding of multi-unit operations and in-store execution
  • Experience leading or scaling proprietary food platforms
  • Proven cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in both strategic and field environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Menu-to-Order, KDS, kiosks, or digital ordering platforms
  • Background in QSR or convenience retail foodservice
  • Private-label or controlled brand experience
  • Familiarity with food safety audits, equipment standards, and workflow optimization

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for Circle K proprietary MTO platforms
  • Define platform positioning, menu architecture, and long-term evolution
  • Ensure proprietary MTO concepts differentiate Circle K in the marketplace
  • Align MTO strategy with overall Foodservice and QSR/MTO objectives
  • Optimize menus for speed of service, operational simplicity, and profitability
  • Support value, limited-time, and regional offers as appropriate
  • Balance customization, throughput, and execution consistency
  • Ensure MTO programs are simple, scalable, and executable in stores
  • Partner with Training & Execution teams to develop playbooks and SOPs
  • Support equipment standards, layouts, and kitchen workflows
  • Conduct field visits to validate execution and identify gaps
  • Monitor MTO performance metrics including sales, attachment, speed, and waste
  • Identify opportunities to improve labor efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Support pilots, tests, and phased rollouts of new initiatives
  • Build business cases for MTO enhancements or expansions
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, QA, Supply Chain, IT, and Marketing
  • Ensure compliance with FSQA, HACCP, and regulatory requirements
  • Align with technology partners on ordering systems and digital platforms
  • Support North American rollouts and BU adoption plans
