Requirements

  • 5-7 years multiunit or high volume retail management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate others.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to diagnose and address complex business problems.
  • Create business plans and contingency plans.
  • Proficiency in computer use, standard MS Office applications, and AI prompting.

Nice To Haves

  • Four-year degree, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the long-term roadmap for the DSD program, defining enterprise-wide DSD policies and compliance standards, ensuring all workflows are efficient and minimize friction for store associates.
  • Govern and validate the technical vendor onboarding process and system fit, serving as the final sign-off for a vendor’s technical readiness, ensuring all partners meet the necessary digital and labeling requirements before entering the program.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Merchandising, Inventory Allocation, Store Operations, IT, and Finance to ensure the connectivity and communication between systems is functioning correctly. Advocate for and validate the integrity of master data (such as vendor costs and item attributes) within appropriate systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive vendor scorecards; identify systemic non-compliance or service failures and provide data-backed recommendations to the buying teams for resolution. Review and provide feedback for process improvement ideas, delivery frequency, seasonal changes with vendors and merchants.
  • Monitor the health of information flow between the store and corporate systems, identifying and calling out financial or inventory risks before they impact the business.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for any new system designs or operational changes affecting how DSD product moves through the organization.
