The Director of Professional Services will provide leadership and operational oversight for Professional Services and Medical Staff Administration functions. This role supports the Practice Association and Medical Staff Office, overseeing provider contracts, employment documentation, scheduling support, workforce administration, provider records, and related operational processes. The position ensures effective coordination of credentialing, privileging, provider quality reviews, Medical Executive Committee support, and physician governance activities. Additionally, it maintains systems and processes supporting provider scheduling, workforce analytics, productivity monitoring, and professional practice evaluation. The Director will also ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory, legal, and medical staff requirements, support organizational readiness for regulatory reviews, and collaborate with leadership on provider performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves developing and overseeing provider capacity management processes, analyzing provider productivity and access metrics, and implementing strategies to optimize provider utilization and improve patient access. The Director will also lead, mentor, and develop Professional Services and Medical Staff Administration personnel, manage departmental resources, and serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Medical Officer and physician leadership on provider workforce planning, recruitment, access management, and medical staff operations. The role may also lead or participate in initiatives involving provider compensation, onboarding redesign, workforce optimization, provider engagement, and operational improvement.
