About The Position

The Director of Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) provides strategic leadership for the division, supporting long-term enrollment growth, financial sustainability, and continuous improvement of programs and processes. The Director will bring energy, creativity, and an entrepreneurial approach to working with the Dean and faculty to identify opportunities for new programs, strengthen existing offerings, and expand PCE's impact and reach. The Director will also cultivate partnerships both within and external to the college that support program innovation and create new opportunities for PCE. As senior leadership in PCE, the Director will manage, support and inspire the PCE team as the division advances through important transitions that include enhancing day-to-day operations and the implementation of new registration and student information systems.

Requirements

• Minimum BA; Master's preferred.
• At least five years of experience in continuing education, working with adult learners or in other nontraditional educational contexts.
• At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within education.
• Demonstrated experience with enrollment strategy, fiscal planning, and budget management.
• Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of employment.
• Must complete all onboarding tasks including a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) and Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI) background review.
• Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US by completing the Form I-9, Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
• Required to show proof of identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of the start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Program Innovation, Partnerships & Strategic Growth: Partner with the Dean and faculty to identify and develop opportunities for new programs and innovative educational offerings, and to strengthen and evolve PCE's existing program portfolio.
• Cultivate institutional and external partnerships that expand PCE's reach and create new opportunities for collaboration.
• Establish and track KPIs for enrollment and revenue growth across all PCE offerings.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Admissions, Marketing, Academic Affairs, and IT to align PCE with broader institutional goals.
• Operations, Systems & Change Management: Lead efforts in planning, system implementation, and process improvement to support a streamlined student lifecycle from inquiry to completion.
• Oversee the operational rollout and continuous improvement of divisional student software systems.
• Drive cross-departmental coordination with IT, Student Financial Services, and the Registrar to streamline processes, meet project milestones, and report high-level outcomes to senior administration.
• Oversee departmental budget.
• Provide operational oversight of essential tasks including billing, hiring, and catalog production.
• Program Management: Oversee the development, logistics, and smooth operation of special programs and external partnerships.
• Team Leadership: Direct supervision of PCE staff: Manager of Enrollment, Systems & Student Success, the Curriculum & Scheduling Manager, and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator.
• Foster a student-centered culture where every staff member supports student success.
• Support the Dean in managing Program Directors, including regular meetings, agenda setting, and facilitation.
