The Director of Product Marketing, Specialty Lighting is responsible for developing and executing strategies for his/her product line(s) and to ultimately deliver revenue and margin targets to the company. With a balance of technical and commercial skills, he/she continuously analyzes market requirements for existing as well upcoming applications and works with internal teams to integrate them into Luminus product and segment roadmaps. Working closely with Luminus sales channels, this enthusiastic individual provides pre- and post-design-in support, ensuring that all technical and commercial issues are timely solved. The successful candidate will have a solid technical background, experience leading internal teams through the development and launch of new products and a passion for customer engagement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on product marketing experience for LED components, LED systems or adjacent technologies strongly desired.
  • Strong ownership and ability to track and complete deliverables timely.
  • Excellent writing skills and high attention to details.
  • Understanding of Optical engineering and LED manufacturing concepts desired.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 25% of the time on average, both domestic and international.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering (electrical, optical); Bachelor's degree with in-depth experience can be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain market strategies and roadmap for assigned product line, including market analysis, product plan, value proposition, performance and cost roadmaps through regular interactions with customers, Luminus regional marketing team members and market research.
  • Summarize customer needs into market requirements documents and specifications that can be effectively communicated to internal teams for execution through the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
  • Coordinate product launch readiness activities and oversees the availability of collateral and other commercial deliverables.
  • Acts as a customer advocate ensuring resolution of outstanding product-related issues with relevant internal resources.
  • Develop and manage pricing strategy and answer customer’s Requests For Quotations (RFQ).
  • Create and maintain marketing collateral materials, including data sheets, applications notes and product presentations. Deliver regular product updates as well as training to the sales team and channels.
  • Analyze competitive product offering, develop strategies to sell against competing products and generate corresponding collateral for use by sales channel.
  • Participate of Marketing Communication activities and help define ways to promote Luminus brand to our customers and targeted markets.
  • Owns product management activities for assigned product lines and/or markets, including datasheet maintenance, change management and product life cycle planning and execution.
  • Participate in industry tradeshows and deliver public presentations supporting the promotion of Luminus products.
  • Work with 3rd parties / partners as needed to enrich the ecosystem and strengthen solution sales.
