About The Position

Censys is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead and expand its Security Operations product line. This role involves building products that empower Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts, incident responders, threat hunters, threat intelligence analysts, and detection engineers. The goal is to enable these professionals to use adversary signals, Internet context, and AI-driven intelligence to improve their speed and effectiveness in triaging, investigating, hunting, and defending against threats. This is a strategically important product line with existing revenue and traction, leveraging Censys' unique Internet Map data advantage. The Director will refine the product vision, drive product-market fit across various buyer segments, and strengthen the go-to-market strategy. The role operates at the intersection of threat intelligence, security workflows, and large-scale Internet data, aiming to transform how defenders operate and become a significant growth engine for the company.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in product management
  • At least 4 years leading product teams in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or security operations products.
  • Experience driving product-market fit (from concept to traction, or sharpening/expanding an existing product line).
  • Experience running discovery, design partnerships, iterating on positioning, and making sequencing calls.
  • Deep security operations domain expertise (understanding of SOC operations, threat intel production/consumption, and adversary defense).
  • Experience building products for at least one of the following personas: SOC analysts, threat intelligence teams, or incident responders.
  • Technical fluency in security data and AI/ML (understanding of ML application to detection, enrichment, threat scoring; ability to evaluate AI capabilities; conversant in data pipelines, APIs, and integration architectures).
  • Experience close to revenue (partnering with Sales on deal strategy, structuring POCs, making packaging decisions).
  • Strategic and operational range (ability to articulate a long-term vision and run a design sprint).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a SOC, threat intel team, or red team.
  • Track record of building products that leverage proprietary or differentiated data assets as a competitive moat.
  • Experience building integrations into major SIEM/SOAR/TIP ecosystems (Splunk, Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto XSOAR, Anomali, MISP).
  • Published research or recognized thought leadership in threat intelligence, adversary tracking, or security automation.
  • Experience with AI/ML applied to security data at scale (shaping model training and deployment on proprietary data).

Responsibilities

  • Refine and evolve the product vision for how Censys' Internet intelligence transforms security operations.
  • Assess product performance, identify areas for improvement, and determine where targeted investments will have the highest impact on adoption and revenue.
  • Determine product fit and investment sequencing across three distinct buyer segments: SOC analysts and managers, threat intelligence teams, and CISOs.
  • Own feedback loops (customer discovery, design partnerships, POCs, usage analytics, expansion and churn signals, win/loss analysis) to ensure product changes are effective.
  • Define how Censys applies AI and machine learning to Internet-scale data to surface adversary signals, automate enrichment, and deliver actionable intelligence.
  • Track and present product-driven business metrics (pipeline generation, POC conversion, ARR growth, net retention, expansion within existing accounts) to the executive team.
  • Evolve packaging and pricing models to reflect buyer willingness to pay, competitive positioning, and monetization strategy.
  • Ensure Sales and Marketing can articulate the value and differentiation of Security Operations products.
  • Define the integration strategy to make Censys' intelligence consumable within existing security tools (SIEM, SOAR, TIP).
  • Translate security operations use cases into specific data needs for the Internet Map data prioritization process.
  • Ensure products leverage the Internet Map's coverage, context, and connections in unique ways.
  • Provide feedback to the Internet Map roadmap regarding data gaps, quality issues, and emerging needs from security operations customers.
  • Partner with the Threat Research team to ensure intelligence reaches customers as product capabilities.
  • Partner with AI and Data Science teams to translate technical capabilities into customer-facing features.
  • Iterate rapidly with the engineering team, prioritizing ruthlessly and keeping requirements tight.
  • Coordinate with peer product leaders on shared dependencies, integration points, and opportunities.
  • Engage regularly with customers through discovery sessions, design partnerships, and industry events.
