Director of Product Management, Pricing

TuroSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

We're looking for a Director of Product Management to build the pricing engine that powers Turo’s next chapter of growth. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll build and grow a team of PMs, collaborate deeply with cross-functional partners, and directly influence how millions of transactions are priced across our platform. Your job will be to take pricing at Turo to the next level: increasing the sophistication of our algorithms, improving growth and profitability across markets, and building the product infrastructure that enables continued scale.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years managing a team of PMs.
  • Experience in rideshare, travel, hospitality, or other marketplace businesses building pricing products at scale.
  • Strong quantitative background — you're comfortable diving into data, interpreting A/B test results, and working closely with data scientists and economists.
  • Proven ability to develop and communicate a compelling product vision, and to execute it through ambiguity.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; you've worked at the intersection of product, engineering, and data science.
  • Strong people leadership — you invest in your team, give direct feedback, and build a culture of high ownership and craft.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can distill complex pricing concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in economics, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Knowledge of ML-based pricing models.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of product managers focused on building dynamic pricing recommendations, risk-based fees, and host pricing interfaces, providing mentorship, strategic direction, and hands-on coaching.
  • Define and own the multi-year product roadmap for pricing, balancing short-term execution with long-term platform ambitions.
  • Partner with Data Science to drive development of dynamic pricing algorithms that respond to real-time supply and demand signals, seasonality, and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Data Science to build pricing features that compound platform growth while keeping supply and demand in healthy balance.
  • Hire, develop, and retain top PM talent; establish best practices and raise the bar for product craft within the team.
  • Serve as the organizational authority on pricing — synthesizing market research, competitive intelligence, and internal data to inform strategy.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary, equity, benefits, and perks for all full-time employees
  • Employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance (Country specific)
  • Retirement employer match
  • Learning & Development stipend to invest in your professional development
  • Turo host matching program
  • Turo travel credit
  • Cell phone and internet stipend
  • Paid time off to relax and recharge
  • Paid holidays, volunteer time off, and parental leave
  • In-office lunch, office snacks, and fun activities (for those in the office full-time or hybrid)
