SalesforceSan Francisco, CA
$197,300 - $344,700

About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead a significant part of their Events Management product for Agentforce, specifically for the Life Sciences industry. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for product strategy, roadmap, and execution. The role requires strong judgment to prioritize and decide on product direction, working closely with Engineering and UX Design to define future releases and ensure successful product outcomes. Deep experience in the life sciences sector, including understanding regulated environments and operations of pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech companies, is crucial. Direct experience with life sciences Events Management is a strong plus.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including significant experience building enterprise software.
  • Strong life sciences domain experience, ideally as a product manager building products for pharmaceutical or biotech organizations.
  • Experience owning a substantial product area rather than individual features.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to prioritize across a large collection of customer, market, and product needs.
  • Experience developing product strategy and translating it into a roadmap spanning multiple releases.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels — from setting long-term direction to working through detailed product decisions with Engineering and Design.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to drive decisions without direct authority.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers and presenting to both business and technical audiences.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong sense of product quality and a willingness to stay close to what customers actually experience after something ships.

Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and a multi-release roadmap for a major part of Events Management.
  • Understand customer needs, industry workflows, competitive alternatives, and existing product capabilities to determine what to build and in what order.
  • Make clear prioritization and product decisions across competing customer needs, technical constraints, and longer-term product goals.
  • Work ahead of delivery teams to define future capabilities, requirements, dependencies, and key product decisions.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design throughout development to ensure the product being built matches the intended outcome.
  • Bring together Engineering, Design, other Product teams, architects, industry experts, customer teams, and go-to-market partners to deliver capabilities that often cross organizational boundaries.
  • Work directly with life sciences customers through discovery, roadmap discussions, product presentations, and demonstrations.
  • Stay accountable after launch: understand adoption, customer feedback, product quality, and usage data, and use learnings to improve the product.
