About The Position

MaxLinear is seeking a Director of Product Engineering to join our team. In this role, you will focus on building and mentoring engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and innovation. You will drive the seamless transition of products from design to manufacturing and own product manufacturing performance throughout the entire product lifecycle. This includes leading product bring-up, silicon validation, characterization, qualification, and production release activities. You will also define organizational strategy, goals, KPIs, and resource plans aligned with company objectives. Collaboration with cross-functional organizations is key to optimizing performance, yield, testability, and manufacturability. You will establish manufacturing readiness criteria, ensure successful product ramp, and own product yield improvement initiatives across wafer fabrication, assembly, and final test operations. Implementing statistical process control (SPC), DOE, FMEA, and advanced analytics techniques will be crucial. Analyzing product and test data to identify yield detractors and implement corrective actions, as well as developing strategies to improve cost of test, manufacturing efficiency, and overall product margins, are core responsibilities. Additionally, you will support customer escalations, product quality investigations, and field-return analysis, and establish and manage OSAT scorecards and KPIs to ensure world-class execution in quality, yield, cost, delivery, and cycle time.
