About The Position

Horizon Farm Credit is actively recruiting a Director of Product & Business Solutions to join our Business Operations team. The qualified candidate may work in any available Horizon Farm Credit branch location. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after 6 months of successful employment. Our ideal candidate is a forward‑thinking leader who excels at translating business strategy into scalable solutions while building strong partnerships across the organization. In this role, you will lead the Product & Business Solutions analysts to drive transformation, maximize technology value, and translate business strategy into scalable solution. In this role, acts as a strategic bridge between business leaders, ensuring business needs are clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered through systems, projects, data, and process improvement. This role shapes direction while building organizational capabilities for the future.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Generally, more than ten years of experience in product management, business solutions, or related disciplines.
  • Five or more years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the enterprise product and business solutions roadmap aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Establish governance to maximize value from existing technologies across systems, projects, and processes.
  • Identify opportunities to extend, simplify, or enhance technology capabilities while balancing innovation and risk.
  • Partner with Technology and PMO teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Leverage data to quantify impact through efficiency gains, capacity improvements, and customer experience enhancements.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for Business Solutions engagement with business owners and senior leaders, ensuring support efforts are aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Translate organizational strategy into clear operational priorities, ensuring work aligns to enterprise outcomes.
  • Partner with leaders to prioritize and sequence work based on capacity and enterprise impact.
  • Oversee translation of business needs into actionable BI and reporting solutions that are sustainable and business‑owned.
  • Lead change initiatives by supporting adoption, addressing resistance, and reinforcing post‑implementation engagement.
  • Lead and sponsor process improvement initiatives focused on simplification, standardization, and sustainability.
  • Promote consistent use of standard work, documentation, and job aids to support continuity and knowledge transfer.
  • Oversee planning and execution of departmental initiatives, managing risks, dependencies, and progress.
  • Coach and develop team members to strengthen analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills, and operational mindset.
  • Ensure Business Solutions activities align with internal controls, compliance expectations, and risk management standards.
  • Coordinate audit support activities, including issue remediation and inquiry responses.
  • Reinforce awareness of first and second lines of defense and serve as a control champion in partnership with Risk.
  • Anticipate emerging risks, regulatory changes, and operational impacts to strengthen future readiness.
  • Build, lead, and sustain a high‑performing team through clear expectations, coaching, accountability, and engagement.
  • Develop talent with an enterprise mindset, preparing individuals for expanded scope and future leadership roles.
