About The Position

The Director of Procurement Systems & Strategic Initiatives will be responsible for leading enterprise initiatives for the Global Procurement organization. This includes supporting the ABG Procurement Strategic Plan and Annual Operating Plan, creating the Global Procurement Policy, and architecting and leading the operationalization of a global Source to Pay (S2P) process. Additionally, this role will establish and lead the governance to evaluate Global Procurement’s value capture delivery. This role will manage a team of 2-3 direct reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 10+ years of progressive procurement finance experience, particularly in creating procurement savings frameworks and leading systems initiatives.
• Proven success in creating and implementing P2P or S2P systems along with accompanying people, process, and technology needs in a highly fragmented spend organization.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
• Very Strong analytical and communication abilities with a track record of delivering business-aligned procurement outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Architect, align, and lead the implementation of the Global Source to Pay for Avis Budget globally, including the creation and implementation of an agile technology roadmap and global procurement policy.
• Create, align, and oversee the rollout of the Global Procurement Policy to ensure Avis Budget Group extracts maximum value for its billions of third-party expenses and meets regulatory, safety, ESG, and other key standards.
• Create, align, and lead the technology roadmap for Global Procurement, with a key priority on Procure to Pay as well as a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
• Lead the governance for all Global Procurement value delivery, including savings, cost avoidance, and working capital.
• Support the Global Chief Procurement Officer in the creation of the Strategic Plan as well as the Annual Operating Plan.
• Support the Global Chief Procurement Officer in the creation of a total capability program for Global Procurement, including a learning plan for all associates.
• Manage a team of direct reports (2-3 FTEs), including data analysts and market intelligence analysts.
