Director of Procurement, Indirect Sourcing

Great Bay Staffing GroupBoston, MA

About The Position

This is a procurement role built around full ownership. You'll run Indirect Sourcing RFPs end-to-end — from initiation through competitive bid negotiation, redlining, and contract execution — with the autonomy to define the business need, source the solution, and negotiate the terms yourself. You'll operate as a centralized Procurement function within FP&A at a fast-growing, fee-only wealth management and advisory firm with nearly 150 offices nationwide and roughly 1.5 million clients. The company holds a dominant position in the 401(k) managed account space and continues to invest heavily in technology, which means your procurement work directly shapes how that growth gets funded and protected. This is an individual-contributor seat with real seniority attached. You'll partner directly with executive stakeholders across HR, IT, Financial Market Data, Marketing, Operations, Wealth Planning, and Trading — translating business needs into sourcing strategy, not just processing requests. You'll lead negotiations on software, SaaS, and hosting agreements, working closely with Legal and negotiating directly against vendor counsel and sales counterparts. You'll structure the commercial terms yourself: flexible fee models, price escalation caps, tiered pricing, and downside protection built to hold up over time. Procurement has a genuine seat at the table here. You'll present spend, SLA performance, and realized savings directly to senior and executive leadership, and your recommendations carry real weight in how the company manages cost and vendor risk at scale.
