Director of Pricing

KEV GroupToronto, ON
CA$160,000 - CA$180,000Hybrid

About The Position

Pricing at a high-growth fintech is a lever - not an afterthought. As our Director of Pricing, you'll own the strategy that determines how KEV captures value from the platform we've spent years building. Reporting to the SVP, Marketing, you'll sit at the intersection of finance, product, sales, and customer success, translating market intelligence, cost structures, and deal data into pricing models that are both competitive and sustainable. This is a newly elevated function. You'll build the pricing capability from the ground up - frameworks, tooling, governance, and a feedback loop that keeps us sharp as we scale. If you've turned pricing chaos into pricing clarity at a SaaS or fintech company, and you're energized by the mission of making student funds safer, this is your role. The base salary range for this role is 160,000-180,000 CAD. This range reflects expected compensation at the time of posting. Final offers may vary based on skills, experience, location, and internal equity. Total compensation may also include bonus and benefits.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in pricing strategy, revenue management, or FP&A with at least 3 years in a SaaS, fintech, or subscription-based business
  • Proven ability to build pricing models from scratch - not just refine what's already there
  • You are able to use data backed insights to develop compelling pricing recommendations and convince various levels of management of your arguements
  • Expert-level Excel or Google Sheets modelling; experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or equivalent); comfort with CPQ or deal desk tooling
  • Experience presenting pricing strategy to C-suite or Board-level audiences and driving alignment across Sales, Finance, and Product
  • You operate with precision and earn trust through data - but you can also read a room and know when the right answer is a conversation, not a spreadsheet

Responsibilities

  • Design and own KEV's end-to-end pricing strategy - including subscription tiers, transaction fee structures, packaging architecture, and discount governance
  • Build and maintain financial models that quantify the revenue, margin, and churn impact of pricing decisions across customer segments
  • Partner with Product to price new modules and features at launch; ensure pricing supports adoption without leaving revenue on the table
  • Lead win/loss and competitive pricing analysis; synthesize findings into quarterly pricing reviews with executive stakeholders
  • Develop and manage a pricing governance process that balances speed-to-deal with margin discipline
  • Lead contract renewal strategy in partnership with Customer Success - identifying at-risk accounts, upsell pricing windows, and cohort-level trends
  • Build reporting dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility into price realization, discounting patterns, and ARR contribution by tier

  • Retirement Savings Support – company-matched programs, including RRSP matching in Canada and 401(k) contributions in the U.S.

  • Hybrid model
  • Flexible PTO – close to 4 weeks of vacation and a company-wide holiday closure
