About The Position
The Director of Policy & Communications at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) contributes to the mission of promoting evidence-informed policy. This role is part of J-PAL’s Leadership & Policy & Communication team, a diverse and integrated group working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The team's goal is to equip policymakers, researchers, and staff with the necessary knowledge to conduct rigorous impact evaluations.
Requirements
- Master's degree with a concentration in economics or development
- A minimum of fifteen years of work experience in the field(s) of public policy, international development, and economics
- Background in both international development policy and economics to effectively translate the academic research in development economics to policy lessons. This can be through university degrees and/or work experience.
Nice To Haves
- Ph.D. in Economics or in Public Policy
- A dual degree in both economics and public policy
